I have always been a fan of the creative possibilities Apple provided with all its built in software. For years I have been creating audiobooks in Garageband, explanatory videos using keynote (that’s what got this website started) and family video projects in iMovie. I am one of those people who used iDVD all the time to share my content with friends, and even the old iWeb was something I loved using. In short: I thought I was quite the creative type.
However, since becoming an Apple Distinguished Educator last year, I had to come to terms with the fact that there was a much bigger creative world out there than I thought. Garageband turned out to be so much more than just a podcasting tool, for instance. The possibilities I had yet to explore were endless.
Of course I don’t want to keep what I find to myself. I am including this creative side of digital learning into my IT-lessons. To support my pupils when learning, I recently started providing them with quick ‘how to’ videos. You can find them right here on the website. I hope I am able to make this collection expand as far into the creative universe as possible, but it is a start.
